Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this business especially if you care about your vehicle. I brought my brand new car (which had under 500 miles on it) in for PPF and tint, expecting professional, high-quality work. What I got instead was careless workmanship, reckless handling of my vehicle, and shockingly unprofessional behavior. First, the biggest red flag: while my car was in their possession, I received app alerts showing it was being driven over 80 mph with hard braking. This was not a short test drive this was my vehicle being driven aggressively between their South Elgin and Elk Grove locations. There is absolutely no excuse for treating a customer’s brand new car like that. As for the work itself, the quality was unacceptable: • PPF was supposed to be wrapped under edges — it wasn’t • Film was misaligned and poorly installed • Dirt and debris trapped under the film • Visible bubbles throughout • Noticeable lines in the film • Tail light tint already peeling • Tint not properly tucked around the tail lights This is basic-level installation failure across the board. To make matters worse, when we returned to address these issues with a representative from the deale

I gave Tint Worx a call yesterday and they were able to get me in the next day!! Angel and his other team member did an awesome job on my 2021 Audi S5 Sportback!! He did the two front windows and the windshield. He went over all the different tint. He was very professional, great quality, friendly!!! I would highly recommend going to Tint Worx!!!!

Great work and service by Tint Worx! The tint looks amazing and was perfectly done. Picked up my car on a Thursday and was able to get squeezed in for an appointment the following day to get the 20% tint. Angel is a great guy and I would be happy to work with him on future projects. If you’re in the Elgin area I would highly recommend. Thanks again!
